We can’t be right all the time, I guess, and Chelsea and I do have a very good percentage of being right on assessing people. Our big mistake in going to Angleton was not listening to ourselves when we heard our little internal voices talking to us.
We spent a full eight days honoring our part of the bargain, but we realized by late Sunday night that things weren’t working out at all for us, and that we needed to move on.
In retrospect we realized that there were a number of observations we’d made that we could have used to make a better decision, in addition to listening to those nagging internal voices. No single observation may have been a deal-killer for us, but we really should have paid attention to the accumulation of all of them.
And that’s what life’s all about – getting better and better at understanding ourselves and our environment, and moving towards what makes us feel better and more fulfilled.
We left Angleton Tuesday mid-morning, heading out for Brazoria.
